Splinting and Orthotics
Splinting and Orthotics can be used to support a weak joint or limb, restrict range of movement and may be a viable alternative to surgery in some cases. The types of conditions splinting and/ or orthotics can help with include carpal hyperextension, tarsal hyperextension, conservative management of cranial cruciate ligament rupture and prevention of soft tissue contractures.
We can measure, make and fit customised soft and semi- rigid splints. We can also measure for and fit rigid customised orthotics made by external orthotics companies.
