BSc (Hons) MSc MCSP ACPAT Cat A

Hi, I’m Emily. I am an Animal Physiotherapist and I specialise in working with small animals.

I developed a love of animals especially horses, dogs and cats from a young age. It was a small jump to dreaming of becoming a veterinary physiotherapy as a teenager. This became more realistic when I was competing with my horse and came across someone working in this field. Up until this point I didn’t realise this profession existed.

I decided to work towards becoming a veterinary physiotherapy by first studying ‘human’ physiotherapy. I studied at the University of the West of England, Bristol and qualified as a Physiotherapist in 2010. I worked for a few years as a Physiotherapist and then started my MSc in Veterinary Physiotherapy with the University of Liverpool in 2012. During the course I discovered how much I loved working with small animals and how satisfying it was to treat them.

Since qualifying I’ve worked in small animal referral hospitals, at local veterinary practices as well as running a mobile clinic where I pets in their own home. I’ve worked with dogs and cats with a wide range of injuries, conditions and following many different types of surgeries.

I currently work part time in a small animal referral hospital in Bristol, run a physio clinic at a general veterinary practice in Chepstow and run a mobile physio clinic in South Bristol.

I believe in spending time getting to know my patients and their owners and providing high quality care in order to achieve long lasting improvements.

I look forward to meeting you, and your pet and helping you both back to a happy, healthy lifestyle!
