Osteoarthritis Management
Osteoarthritis can be a complex condition to manage especially in the confines of the typical routine appointment slot.
We can offer a detailed assessment and management plan looking at every aspect of the pet’s life including home environment, exercise and activity levels and body condition as well as helping to address the physical changes affecting the dog or cat. We will work closely with you and the owner to come up with a long-term management programme to help maximise the pet’s quality of life.
A typical management plan usually includes advice (e.g. home environment, weight management, activity management and supplements) strengthening and range of movement exercises, manual therapies and advice/ provision of assistive aids.
